Simon Tipping was trained as a ceramicist and has been teaching art for many years. He has specialised in experimental techniques such as Raku firing, salt glazing, paper kilns and processing found clay. Simon has been teaching painting and drawing for some years. He has helped many people to realise their artistic potential; college students, special needs children, prison inmates and adult education students, to name a few.. For six years Simon has been chair of the Silbury Group of Artists, one of the longest running selected artist led groups in the UK. |

Art in the Community Simon is involved in promoting the visual arts through courses, consultancy, commissions, exhibitions and workshops. Simon covers a wide area, locally (Milton Keynes), Nationally (Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, London and Northamptonshire.) and Internationally (France, Italy, Lithuania and Poland). As a Community Artist Simon wishes to develop a greater appreciation and understanding of what the visual arts are through contact with artists and the artists work.
